About us
What’s so special about PACE?At PACE children with physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy find their own voice, walk their own steps and discover that they can fully enjoy everyday life and become active members of society. Cerebral palsy is a physical condition affecting movement as a result of damage to the brain.
We believe in each child’s ability to learn despite their disability. We provide a loving and inspirational environment, motivating children with physical disabilities to work hard at achieving goals.
Our focus is on ‘educating for life’ – developing a child’s social, emotional, communication, academic and motor skills. Every child’s achievement is a direct result of our unique staff team, all working together in one centre with the child at its heart. Find out about staff vacancies.
PACE is a charity inspired by the principles of Conductive Education, a system which emphasises that children develop as a whole.
Why PACE needs your help. One in every 400 children in the UK is affected by cerebral palsy. Your support enables us to reach children and families though intensive programmes, training and outreach. We depend on donations from trusts, businesses, groups and individuals. The First Steps Fund supports our early years Parent and Child (P&C) services. Every gift or pledge to PACE is precious and this is our Fundraising Promise to you, please read it here.
For children with physical disabilities even simple tasks can be their 'Mount Everest'. The children at PACE faced theirs recently at Stoke Mandeville Stadium in their Children's Challenge event, watch the video here. It's Challenge Time is a cool way for you to face your own challenges big or small.

The Children's Challenge is sponsored by:
